VAT RATE CHANGE 1st Jan 2010
Changing your MADICS VAT Rate from 15% to 17.5%.

Ensure that all Invoicing that applies to the 15% Rate has been printed & posted to the ledgers before you amend any VAT rate tables in MADICS.

Q) What Do I Amend?
A) The VAT Table entry from the Standard Rate VAT setting. This table is found in Sales Order Management, under the File Maintenance Sub Menu.

The Sales and Purchase Ledgers each hold a VAT rate that is used for Manual Invoicing.
This rate is located in the Ledger System Management, Define System Parameters Menu. The rate is located on page 2.

For Clients running MADICS HIRE, the VAT rate is set in HIRE System Management, Define System Parameters. The Rate is located on page two of the package set up.

CREDIT NOTES:
The facility we introduced last year will be re-configured to allow users to select which rate to apply at the credit note print step.

Please call support before you start to issue any credit notes that attract the 15% rate to ensure that the software changes have been installed and effected on your site.

Guardsman Bring Ecommerce On-Line
Guardsman Ltd has been supplying major industrial customers and utilities with safety equipment for over 35 years.

Anything from High Visibility Jackets, Gloves and Protective Footwear, through to Respiratory Protective Equipment sales orders can be placed 24 hours a day on their new websites.

Whilst the concept of on-line ordering is not exactly new, the features required of their website and on-line ordering are very much tailored to Guardsman’s bespoke requirements, in that it allows them to create and maintain individual customer product & pricing for contract customers across different websites.

Guardsman with the help of Pindar Graphics, created a number of databases for their customers based on the CactuShop design. Madics is used to update the websites with customer stock and pricing information automatically overnight.

The customer is issued a login and password and a unique URL. Once logged in, the information they see on-line will contain only their own chosen product database range, pricing structure and customer logos.

A suite of MADICS web tools allow Guardsman to create and maintain customer / product relationships all within the MADICS suite, based on simple table designs.

A standard order / enquiry system is also available for the non-contract customer use.

Free upgrades
The rolling release programme continues at Madics with new software being released every week. No longer do you have to wait for a year to get the new features and enhancements you require as each discreet software element is released as soon as it has completed the testing cycle - and of course, it costs you nothing as all software module updates are included in your MADICS v4 support contract for as long as you continue to use MADICS software.
